Financial institution that acts as an intermediary between individuals or entities with excess cash to deposit or lend and those with financing needs, serving as an intermediary for credits and deposits. In addition to the aforementioned services, it offers other financial services such as wealth management and advisory services, leasing, insurance, bill discounting, among many others. In Spain, banking can be private (commercial and industrial), official, savings banks, and credit cooperatives. In the United States, the division is private commercial banking, federal or state-level banking, official banking, savings banks, and savings and loan associations.
